I do more than therapy.

I daylight as the Clinical Supervisor for the University of Alberta's Counselling Psychology Program (CPA-Accredited). Which means I spend most of my day training up and coming psychologists in Edmonton.

Research/Program Evaluation

I have an interest in implementing humanistic practice with process-outcome monitoring, with a strong background in quantitative, qualitative and mixed method methodologies. My biggest projects have focused on making the assessment of suicide therapeutic and client-centered.

Assessment

I'm trained in psychodiagnostic and personality assessments, meaning I'm competent in using psychometrics and interviews to offer a comprehensive and careful diagnosis, including treatment plan recommendations.

Teaching/Supervision

I have plenty of experience (and absolutely love) teaching. I was trained by the Peter Lougheed Leadership College's Teaching Fellow program that included over a month of teaching training. I've taught five courses at the University of Alberta, all of which were in different faculties. I've also been a frequent guest lecturer for the University of Alberta, Grant MacEwan University, and Concordia University of Edmonton.

Consultation/Workshops

My expertise is in suicide and suicide risk assessment. I know these are difficult practices for psychologists and organizations. I've hosted over 20 workshops helping practitioners feel more confident and comfortable with managing their client's risk of suicide, including ones for Alberta Health Services, the College of Alberta Psychologists, and the University of Alberta. It's my passion to help people better attend to their clients in, what is usually, their darkest hour.
